The Barca game was amazing!! We had a lot of fun and they won 2-1 against Madrid. Our seats were nose bleed but it was all fun and I would definetly go to another one. I was suprised how tame the crowd was, and that they don't serve any alcohol in the stadium. Other than that this week was funn of lots of classes and I went out on Friday night with tho two girls who I live with. They are in the next picture with me the blonde girl is Becky, and the brunette is Evelyn. I really like hanging out with them! We are going hiking on MontJuic tommorrow together. Today I went on a day trip to Girona and Besalu, two midevil roman cities that have been well preserved about an hour north of Barcelona into the foothills of the Pyrenese Mountains. For lunch I ordered a traditional Spanish dish, Paella. Little did I know that this was the real deal and entire creatures would be on my plate. I was brave and ate it all! (except the crawfish thing) and I actually liked it! We also went to castles, cathedrals, and the most well preserved jewish bath in the entire world. It was really crazy to think about how the cities hve looked almost the exact same since the 1200s- especially in Besalu which is a TINY city of only 1000. Everyone who goes there has to enter on the main bridge.
Next weekend I am hoping to go on another day trip sponsored by CIEE. Lets skype tommorrow (Sunday) around 6 your time! Love youuu
