Last night I went out for a few drinks with my friends. We wanted to go to Dow Jones, which is a famous bar where the price of drinks fluctuates on a stock ticker all night.. and when it "crashes" drinks are basically free.. like a few cents or something. Anyway, we couldn't find it and ended up going home at about 3. The first picture is me and a few friends at a bar earlier in the night. Today was a lot of fun! We went to Gaudi's Park Guell. There were the most beautiful views of the city. The park was commissioned to be a gated commuity for the rich but it was never finished and now the city owns it. Only 3 houses were ever built, one Gaudi lived in for the last 20 years of his life, and the other two look like ginger bread houses and basically are the gate keepers houses. I was awe- struck the entire time. We had perfect weather, actually it was a bit too warm for our winter coats and it was sunny. My photos definetly don't do it justice but I included a few of them here just so you can get an idea. In the main area of the park it is all bright colored mosaics. Around where homes would have been built are many bridges and walkways that were designed to look natural, like their surroundings. I remember seeing some of them on an episode of America's Next Top Model haha. Anyway, it was beautiful and I am so glad we decided to go today, even if it meant getting off the metro and hiking up the steepest hill EVER for 20 minutes.
Adios mi amigos!
